Brooklyn-based artist Zak Smith's painting of SG Charlie from his series of portraits "Girls in the Naked Girl Business" is now in the collection of New York City's Museum of Modern Art joining such luminaries as Jackson Pollock, Picasso and Jasper Johns.

As reported about a year ago, the picture was originally part of the large, privately held Judith Rothschild Collection of contemporary drawings. That collection was given in its entirety to the MOMA last week.
When asked for comment, Charlie replied:
"What...Zak?...what time is it?...you're writing what?...fuck...I don't know, make something up."
The painting of Charlie as well as paintings of SGs Voltaire, Sawa and Raven will all be on display at Smith's next solo show at the Fredericks Freiser Gallery in New York City in late September and will be published in the book "Zak Smith: Pictures of Girls" from DAP Press, which will be available for purchase in late September from the SG on-line store as well as finer bookstores and museum shops throughout the US.
Smith, who wrote this article and is mightily sick of referring to himself in the third person, is also an SG member under the name splixx.
