The Even Simpler Life: Hilton Bids Richie A Not-So-Fond Adieu

Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie, the twin twits of television's The Simple Life will not be sharing the show's credits, or a friendship, any longer.

According to popular rumor, Richie, 23, so infuriated Hilton that the hotel heiress immediately had her blackballed from the bewilderingly popular show.


Last week, Hilton, 24, told USA Today that Richie will be replaced on "The Simple Life" by her friend Kimberly Stewart, the daughter of singer Rod Stewart. Hilton and Richie have starred on the Fox reality show for its first three seasons.


I join a nation, weeping in our lost faith. I really thought those crazy kids were going to make it work. And now, there's only one question left: is switching from Lionel Richie's daughter to Rod Stewart's daughter an upgrade or a downgrade?

Can someone honestly explain the appeal of this show to me? I just don't get it. And I find some pretty supid shit entertaining. These two are just so annoying, stuck up and vapid that it makes me legitimately angry.

I got pretty angry watching part of this show once for the same reasons. Naturally this show is going into season three while my favorite shows (dead like me, Arrested Development, firefly) were killed after a season or two or are struggling to stay on the air in the second season.
