Reggie White Dies

Reggie White, former Green Bay Packer defensive lineman, died today at the age of 43.

The cause of death was not immediately known.

"Today our beloved husband, father and friend passed away," White's wife, Sara, said in a statement through a family pastor. "His family appreciates your thoughts and prayers as we mourn the loss of Reggie White. We want to thank you in advance for honoring our privacy."

White led the Packers into two Super Bowl victories; this is a sad day for all of us in Green Bay.

I seriously doubt it was in any way drug related. If you knew anything at all about the man you never even would have made that ridiculous presumption.

The original story that I read on Yahoo! News earlier today said something about a possible massive heart attack, but that that was tentative.

Tis a shame no matter what. frown

Green Bay is sad today.

I'll never forget the sight of him riding a little kid's bike down lombardi ave, or him running down the field with the superbowl trophy in his hands. He was just that kind of guy.
