If You're Naughty, Santa Will Sell Your Presents On eBay

A father of 3 bratty kids is selling their Christmas gift---$700 in video games---on eBay after the boys ignored requests to stop fighting and cussing.

Dad announced that he would indeed be putting $700 in video games up for sale on eBay. The oldest boy double-dared his dad to make good on his word.

Dad said Mom has been in tears since the showdown.

"I don't do it outwardly," he said, "but I'm crying on the inside."

Losing Christmas is of course a child's nightmare.

at least it used to be.

What ever happened to the whole "Christmas is earned" concept?

Good for him.
Hey, maybe those kids will actually learn that gifts arent a privilege. And sometimes, parents mean what they say. They were warned.
Of course, I'd have preferred if he gave the gifts to a womens shelter or kids xmas charity. Give it to someone who really cant afford to buy gifts for thier child, and would truly appreciate it.

Remember kids - Good things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad people.

uh... I guess this guy doesn't like jews.

Because our actions were good and honorable [...involving someone mocking his auction]

At first, I thought, "ok, good, parents should discipline their children if they're out of line." But, for fuck's sake, this guy is an ass. 'Good and honorable'?

Those parents are awesome.

Although, like an earlier poster said, it would have been nice to donate the presents

i think the problem here stems from the fact that the parents are buying them $700 in video games.that leads me to believe that the kids are spoiled rotten to begin with, so they take everything for granted.

while it's good that he's trying to finally institute discipline, i think it's the wrong method, and it's coming much too late.

also, after reading the article, i wouldn't be at all surprised if, in a month or two, the parents wind up feeling sorry for the kids and buying everything all over again.

The dad might sound like a bit of an ass, but if this makes his bratty kids act better, than all the better. Maybe learning how not to be assholes will be his kids' real Christmas presents.

This would make them better citizens in the future, so really it's good for the rest of us as well...
