Uptight Asshat Cracks Down on College Nudity

Robert Graves, the newly hired Dean of Students at Bennington College in Vermont, is cracking down on public nudity on campus. The college has had an informal policy allowing public nudity... until now.

When a student strolled around campus naked this summer during an orientation session when parents were visiting campus, the new dean reprimanded him.

American liberal arts colleges do not get much more liberal than Bennington. Nestled in Vermont's Green Mountains, the school has a nontraditional approach to education in which students draw up their own curricula.

"Bennington does not expect students to conform, but to transform," the college's Web site proclaims.

But Graves has drawn the line at being naked.

Ha! ThatÂ’s my school. I am there. Like, right now.

I have half a mind to strip down and take some photos right now just to stick it to the man.

But yeah, the guy is a real asshole. He took town one of the dorms traditional annual porn-tree too, which got me a lot worse than the nudity thing did.

Wow, this is pretty fucking crazy. Now everyone is gonna know i go to the nakked skool. Daamn

Oh, okay. For a second there I thought there was nothing wrong with the human body how it naturally is. Thanks for educating me dean, and litigating your repressed distorted fear of the human form over others.

People - need - to - get - over - the - nudity - thing.

I couldn't agree more. That's why West Coast members can hear me participate in an on-air interview on this exact subject Saturday morning. I can't remember the station name, but I'll post it here when they call me back tomorrow to firm up the time. They called me today to express their interest as a result of all the press the school has been receiving due to this controversy.

sure has changed a lot since i graduated in 2000. though to be honest, all this was beginning then. i mean, people were getting fired left and right, others quitting in protest, student life was feeling the crimp, parties got busted... it's a slippery slope towards normalcy, and bob graves seems to have a can of grease.

what happened to dean reichblum? he was ok. maybe he finally got caught sleeping with a student.

Just got back from the West Coast, so I won't be able to hear it, but glad your putting some good intelligent vibes out there.

If a college is all about transformation and progression, why would they make that guy Dean of Students? surreal

An uptight dean harassing the students, just because they want to get naked? Sounds like a great premise for a college movie. They should have christopher walken as the evil dean, adam brody as the guy, and keira knightly and shannyn sossamon as the guy's two friends who hold a naked protest outside the courthouse or whatever. Adam would only be naked for one scene and keira and shannyn would be naked the entire movie, naturally.
That would get my $8.50

Yeah.. I never really thought it was that bad. Even the nudity thing didn't phase me, as I like to remain panted most of the time.
What struck me was when I found out (yesterday) that they don't have tenure for teachers here. And they fired my favorite prof. ever, Norman Derby like 10 years before his retirement age so they didn't have to give him a pension (he is still here, working to the end of his last 5 year contract).

So now I am up in arms, and ready to represent for my nerdy homie. Pheer my wrath Bennington, no ones messes with a Savages physics professor!
