Ayyyy... Happy Days Reunion!

Fonzie, Richie, Chachi, and the rest of the original gang will get together one more time to celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Happy Days".

"The Happy Days 30th Anniversary Reunion" will be a two-hour special that features the cast presenting their favorite fragments, candid interviews, and more.

Happy Days, was the first in a wave of shows to capitalize on the nostalgia for the feel-good '50s, followed life with the Cunningham family and their pals in Milwaukee. The series debuted in January 1974 and ran for 11 seasons on ABC before bidding goodbye in 1984. The show was a full-fledged cultural icon, adding phrases like "sit on it" and "ayyy" to the lexicon, inspiring the phrase "jump the shark" and landing Fonzie's leather jacket in the Smithsonian.

I like happy days but I dont think I will be watching that. I really cant stand those reunion shows. It gets even worse when they bring them back to do a movie like they did with the dukes of hazard.

I think Max Baer said it best:

"I really don't think anyone wants to see a 40 year old Jetrho or Ellie Mae"

I wonder if they'll get the guy who played Richie's older brother to be on the show too.

Oh, come now - your older brother going into the gay porn business doesn't carry the stigma it once did.

I LOVED this show. And I still do. But reunion specials that capitalize on nostalgia are depressing...

Probably won't be watching.

Fonz was kinda creepy. He was an older guy (was he a drop out or a graduate? Can't remember) who would hang out with high school kids and mack on teenage girls looking for a little statutory action, apparently. He was like a proto-Wooderson. Also kind of weird to have this scrawny Jewish guy playing the supposed epitome of greasy Italian cool.

And lest we forget, dude had a public restroom for an office. *shudders*.
