World Naked Bike Ride Day (aka "Critical Ass")

Seattle, Olympia, and Bellingham are among 22 cities that will celebrate World Naked Bike Ride Day to promote the end of U.S. oil dependence. Seattle police will allow the ride to occur as, "from a legal standpoint, being nude is not considered obscene behavior"."Why is the world so afraid of naked people?" Conrad Schmidt, organizer of the event, asked. "There is nothing more peaceful than a naked person on a bicycle. We are more afraid of naked people than we are of cars and global warming and nuclear missiles. Nobody worries about these things, but people are worried about naked cyclists."
