He wrote about space travel and our future like Paul wrote about god. Of course, the fiction Ray gave us was possible.

Such an incredible, beautiful man who's work will be a part of my life for as long as I can live. One of my favorite authors and probably the biggest influence on Stephen King (another one of my favorite authors!) that there is. R.I.P. Ray...

from Stephen King's website

"Ray Bradbury wrote three great novels and three hundred great stories. One of the latter was called 'A Sound of Thunder.' The sound I hear today is the thunder of a giant's footsteps fading away. But the novels and stories remain, in all their resonance and strange beauty."

An avid reader for as long as I could remember, it was Fahrenheit: 451 that caused me to consider the world as something vulnerable. Dragons, corrupt juries, and all manner of villains thrilled me on the pages of my favorite texts, but it was a tale about books being consumed by unholy flame that shook me the most deeply. For that reason alone, I thank you Mr Bradbury.

Fahrenheit 451 is one of the greatest novels ever written. I'll also remember him for this silly commercial for prunes that he appeared in:
