Swayze in Space

Steven Barber wants to place Patrick Swayze on the International Space Station for advertising purposes. Swayze has agreed to do so.

"I told him, 'Listen, Patrick, you're doing frickin' dinner theater on Wilshire. You're doing a play, Annie Get Your Guns [sic] or something. You haven't done anything since Ghost. I'm going to revive your career. I'm your Quentin Tarantino, and you're my John Travolta. [...]
"I've gone after Howard Schultz at Starbucks and said, 'Let's get frickin' Patrick to drink the first latte in space,' " Barber says. "What commercial could top it? Bill Medley in the background singing 'I Had the Time of My Life,' and Patrick saying, 'I gotta get back to Earth. I'm going to Disney World!'? Don't tell me this isn't good. This is good!"

Barber, a part-time employee of SpaceAdventures, is also trying to line-up a documentary of Swayze's training.
It should also be noted that although cocaine use is down amongst 8th to twelfth graders, the use of the drug has stayed relatively steady amongst those aged thirty-four and above.

They should get that girl from Dirty Dancing up there with him. Maybe without any gravity they could get that one last dance move right.

Though an actor in space might be new, advertising campaigns are not. Mir was often used in variety shows and commercials for various countries. I remember seeing one in Italian.
