I don't see anything wrong with the Botox if you have serious sweat and foot odor problems. The rest of it seems a bit extreme. I'm all for body modification, but it seems like surgically messing with your feet could potentially affect your joints and ability to walk and exercise.

That's disgusting. I remember reading that same article about asian women having those rods implanted into their legs to get a few inches taller. Sickening... Really. I remember the pictures in that article, and how they talked about the horrific pain of these procedures, having your legs sawed apart at the bone in various different spots, so that they could create a gap to fill with metal rods and pins. That article seriously traumatized me; I'll never forget it. This "Cinderella Procedure", is just as stomach churning. When will this madness stop? Why can't anyone be happy with who they are, and the body they were born with? I mean, I understand the pressures of looking "perfect", I really do. I've fought my own demons, coming into my life in the form of Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia, and so on. But somethings gotta give. I mean honestly, it's feet now? Feet?! Most people hate their feet! They look weird. So what? At least we have them, and the ability to walk! Whatever... Let people be idiots. Go get your feet shaved down, your legs snapped and extended, your tits, lips, and ass injected, tummy flattened, face lifted, fine lines and wrinkles botoxed away, body hair laser removed, skin tanned to a crisp, teeth bleached electric white, nails covered with tacky fake tips, contacts put in to change your eye colour, eyelids topped off with false lashes, make-up caked all over your face, gloss globbed all over your nasty fish lips, an added push-up bra making those silicone titties pop, and ooohhhh, what a sight you'll be. Then you can blend right in with the rest of this nauseatingly shallow, empty, existence of ours. This is nothing but body mutilation in it's rawest form, and it kills me to know that it's all legal, and that it's now so common that girls are getting boob jobs as sweet 16 gifts, before they're even done developing, from their jackass parents, and it's "okay" that they're underage, because their parents are moronic enough to sign a piece of paper saying it's alright. I think there is a correlation to do between these "society acceptable" piercings, stretches and others and these extreme body modifications you just talked about.

I like my feet, they are huge, and my second toe is longer than my big toe, and my baby toe looks like it trying to crawl under my foot to hide from the world.

But I loves them. I have been dancing ballet for fifteen years, my feet are blistered, corned, torn up, but they carry me. Regardless of what beauty standards the world may have my feet are my feet, and they deserve neon green polish, toe rings, and cowgirl boots.

I hate my feet. They're messed up looking. Then again, I'm a guy, they "should" look like Frankensteins monster, hahaha. But feet are feet, be happy with what you have because they get you where you need to go. Surgery may change that. Is it worth the risk??

agreed. "alternative lifestyle/modern primitive" people drilling screws into their skulls, splitting their tongues, gauging random body parts to ridiculous sizes and whatnot. i've always thought that everything is relative and how sickened someone is by anything just depends on what they've been exposed to/have been taught is acceptable by society. how many years ago was it that people were horrified by gauges? even tattoos, in the west? the first few people are always considered a bit wacky.

There are practical and aesthetic considerations to it. You could say the same about other types of reductive surgery (like breast reductions), corrective measures (like scoliosis treatment or braces), or both (various nose jobs for reduction, reshaping and/or correcting deviated septums)

As operations go, the procedure itself as shown is neither particularly dramatic nor all that complicated.

Bunion surgery has been around long before this, just without the cute name and with a much longer healing time.
