90 degrees, you say? Blast it all to hell. I'm sick of oppressive summer temperatures already. Yet it's mid-August and the climate doesn't take notice of my loathing. Regardless, if i have to spend the entirety of my days indoors in the assuring safety of air conditioning or stuffing ice cubes down my shirt to be able to wear awesome jackets, i will. Who will stop me, huh?

Fortunately, this jacket is fairly sane for this time of year. Its canvas material and adjustable sleeve length make it less of a torture device and more of a refreshing shady tent, so i can be a desert mercenary/jukebox commandant without overwhelming suffering.

This look is also all about the footgear. Another agonizing purchase, but i obviously needed new boots for my upcoming Tokyo adventure. I've dubbed them "moongrinders" and haven't been without them since their acquisition last weekend. It's not often that 4.5" platforms are attractive as well as comfortable. At $250 they aren't exactly a bargain but are a perfect example of a worthwhile expenditure, i say. I waited something like 3 years to get a pair, and have no regrets.
