London's 2012 Swastika

Okay, so other than the fact that it looks like a mutated swastika, why is everyone so up at arms about London's recently revealed logo for the 2012 Olympic Games? It's kind of embarrassing that an online petition gathered 48,615 signatures to protest the logo and demand that it be replaced, when the "England is the best country in the World" petition from 2005 only garnered a measly 54 signatures.

But seriously, who gives a shit? It kind of looks like something Picasso might have drawn up and called "guerra," since that is, after all, what's erupted around it. So what if it's abstract and looks like a five-year old designed it? So what if it resembles graffiti, or cost $800,000 to design, or an animated version of it on the website caused "more than 10 seizures among the estimated 23,000 people vulnerable to a photo-sensitive form of epilepsy."

Wait, what? It cost $800,000 to design, and caused a grip of seizures?

Fuck that logo. It's totally a swastika, dude.

I am such an idiot!

And the Lisa-blowjob image is present now everytime I look at it! shocked

Yah, I don't really see the Swastika thing myself, either. I think people read WAY too much into these things; like the British people (who were rather anti-Nazi if I remember correctly...hmmmmm) are going to be flying swastikas for the Olympics *rolls eyes*

And, more over, even if they do; its a fuckin SOLAR system that has been around for millenium, that was missused by a Right-wing lunatic and his jack-boot wearing thugs. Maybe its about time we strip the symbol of its negative power, anyway.
