Instead of turning to your shrink for help with the whole mental-health thing, why not just turn to your video game console?
A new game entitled DS Therapy will assess a person's social and mental-health just by asking some simple questions about their state of being. With the success of Brain Age, developers are looking a gaming in a whole new light.
Instead of driving a car, shooting people or casting spells, the new series of games will promote mental and social health by informing you on your current conditions.
Mark Baldwin, a psychology professor at McGill University in Montreal, Canada is the designer of another mental-health game: Mindhabits Booster. It's nice to know that for the price of a video game you can receive piece of mind.
This new category of video games will hopefully somewhat subdue protestors, with developers having more time and money spent on developing games that have a positive impact on players rather than parents just trying to take games off store shelves.
DS Therapy is expected to be released in Japan in May, however, a US release date has yet to be determined.
