David Bowie on "Extras"

Check out David Bowie's recent appearance on Ricky Gervais' "Extras" and watch him own it. In the scene, Ricky's character Andy Millman opens up to Bowie at a party - unknowingly inspiring the rock legend to spontaneously break into song.

..."Little fat man who sold his soul... Little fat man who sold his dream..."

"Chubby Little Loser" ...an original song about Andy.

The best cameo in ages, and the song is actually pretty good.

The joint BBC/HBO production "Extras" - now in its second season, features a different actor playing themselves in each episode. Invariably being bothered in some way by Andy, and usually offering up surprising performances in the process.

This season, along with Ziggy Stardust, Daniel Radcliffe, Patrick Stewart and Orlando Bloom will take turns being the focus of Andy's deeply mundane and frequently embarrassing self doubt.

This weeks guest is Coldplay's Chris Martin.

Good luck, Buddy.

Did anyone see tonight's episode?

Probably the best yet.
Ronnie Corbett doing coke in the toilets at the Baftas, with Steve Merchant and Gervais trapped in the cubicle with himsmile

I fancy the fuck out of Maggie too.

That would be BANAL and Facile....

Its a word in the dictionary...have you heard of it?

Jesus Christ, I honestly have a habit of mishearing things. No need to be rude. Banal that obviously makes much more sense. But whatever makes you feel superior. You are a superior in every way to me. I am here for you to demonstrate your immense intellect. I'll be sure to buy a dictionary when my mcdonald's paycheck arrives. I don't usually have much money left to spare after I buy my crayons and coloring books.

Please find it within your grand brilliance to forgive my extreme ignorance.

I love that man. Is there anything David Bowie can't do, seriously? And he looks just amazing for his age too.

"Blows his stupid brains out....."

Probably one of my all-time favorite cameos.. after only maybe Marshall McLuhan in Annie Hall.

The one tonight was brilliant, probably the best yet.
Sir Ian McKellen was the guest star and it basically revolved around Gervais' character unwittingly getting involved in a gay play he was directing.
