Every Piece Of Art in The Museum Of Modern Art Book

It costs $20 to get into NYC's MoMA, the same price as Jason Polan's self-published book The Every PIece Of Art In the Museum Of Modern Art Book. Skip the lines and crowds and art history lesson in exchange for the sketchbook interpretation of the January 2005 collection.

uhh, it's a good concept but it seems poorly executed. As much as I'd like to, I just can't get behind it.

Okay, that's fucking brilliant.

Except...

There used to be one day at MoMA called "Pay What You Will," starting at like 4pm. I think it may have been Tuesdays. Anyway, you could get in for a penny, if you dared. I myself went so low as a quarter, haughtily handed over. So the idea is amusing, but seeing it in person for a penny is even better.

Oh, and it's the same policy at the Met, but ALL THE TIME. This is why the Met kicks every art museum's arse. Well, that and all their (stolen) Egyptian art.

EDIT: It seems that "Pay What You Will" has been chucked over in favour of "Target Free Friday Nights," sponsored by Target, happening every Friday from 4-8 pm. So there you go.
