...God help me, I'm trying to imagine coolness here, but all I can see is the live action versions of the Cat in the Hat and the Grinch.

The cast list on IMDB all say "voice". So I assume it'll be animated, not live action. smile

It's a pretty short book. I hope it's good. It will expand on the Where the Wild Things Are week that I have every year in my classroom.

I wasn't doubting Jonze, just the general track record for adapting classic kids' literature into movies.

Unless the film is 20 minutes long I can't see it being very good

They'll fill out the rest with shots of Denise Richards, Neve Campbell, and Matt Dillon making out with each other.

for some reason i am less scared about this than i am about 'fantastic mr. fox' or whatever that wes anderson will be putting out. i hope they are both very good though. as much as i love wes anderson, i have complete and utter faith in spike jonze.
