Kill Bill 2 Sucks?

The early word from my crack team of opening night movie going friends is that Kill Bill 2 sucks. Especially the last 30 minutes. WTF? The first one was so good, I don't know how this can be the case. I've read the script so I know what happens, but what the hell? Could it really be that bad? I've got tickets to see it tomorrow, but has anyone else seen it and care to enlighten the rest of us? Good? Bad? What??!

It didn't suck, but is wasn't the best movie I've ever seen either.

You have to keep in mind that it really isnt a part 2. These movies were intended to be one long movie but the movie execs cut in two to make more money. Yes, the second was anticlimatic but it was meant to have the first half to it. No where nearly as charged as the first but it had a point-counter point thing about it.

Way I see it, Kill Bill Vol. 1 was action, plain and simple. Kill Bill Vol. 2 is more story heavy, but it's the same story, and the same action. It is beautiful as far as movies go, but some people don't get into certain movies. Expect that.

If you liked Vol. 1, there's a good chace that you'll like Vol. 2 as well. And the last 30 minutes are not what I was expecting. I read an article that described the last 30 minutes, and it threw me off. I was expecting something different, but I still liked it, and in retrospect I understand why they described it the way they did.

It's very different.. and it's more a slow movie.. like a plodding thoughtful western..

but most people don't like those kind of movies..

you're friends probably walked in expecting Kill Bill Vol. 1. Tarantino said from the beginning that Vol. 2 was worlds of difference from Vol. 1. Thats probly why they thought it sucked...cuz it didn't have a 20 minute fight sequence where 88 people lost limbs.

i'm going to see it tonight. and thankfully, i'm seeing it in a double feature with Vol. 1. so, according to Weso, i'll enjoy it more than the rest of you.
and of course the ending's gonna be a little anticlimatic. THE TITLE TELLS YOU HOW IT'S GONNA END.
