T-Shirt Deli: Made Fresh Daily

Chicago's T-shirt Deli whips up custom shirts with a side of chips. Pick your article of clothing (women, men, babies, kids and dogs are all invited), choose your old school style iron-on lettering, type in your phrase and there you have it: a fresh, tasty t-shirt of your very own.

We searched far and wide for gleaming white deli cases, rolls of perfectly waxed butcher paper, brightly colored stickers, and open-air wicker baskets to display our freshest selection of tees. We selected homegrown American Apparel brand shirts, and started to stock as many font choices and colors as cheeses in a New York deli.

For those outside the windy city, you can still dish up your own T-shirt Deli t-shirt on the web, but they may not mail the chips.

T-Shirt Deli is located at 1739 Damen Ave, Chicago, IL 60647, near the Damen stop on the blue line. For more info, check out the website.

This is a couple blocks away from my house. I think it's a cool gimmick but at 15 bucks a shirt then a dollar a letter, that's kinda crazy. You could easily make the same shirt for next to nothing. But I mean, I might buy one once just for the novelty.

no offense taken and no problem at all.
i notice some people post comments from time to time confused or upset or angry about stories posted on the wire that couldn't be considered 'breaking news' (such as product features like this)!
this was something i personally thought was a cool cultural somethin', and hey- that's what i'm here to share!

Sounds like an advertisement, honestly.

This is nothing remotely new. I remember going to T shirt shops in the mall back in 1982 and getting T shirts lettered.

What's worse is that the site rips off T shirt designs (or at least the words) from several Tshirthell.com designs.

Meh.

People make up their own phrase for their t-shirt. If anything, their customers ripped off Tshirthell.

Right, but they are seemingly offering those ones up for sale. Each picture has a buy link next to it.
