Who Knew Swimsuits Could Be "Wholesome" and Scary at the Same Time?

Ever wanted to turn heads at the beach? Ever wanted to look like a jackass and make your kids hate you for dressing them for summer? If so, check out Wholesome Wear's line of swim wear.

Fellow SG Editor Legionnaire sent this article to me about these "wholesome" swimsuits for "modest ladies."

Wholesome Wear's mission statement stresses the importance of "swimwear that highlights the face, rather than the body." The construction of the outfits intentionally "includes an undergarment with bright colors at the neck and shoulders to draw the eye to the face."

Somehow, it seems if eyes are drawn to the face of the wearer, it's only a spectator mentally recording the face of the lunatic who would wear something resembling a cropped snowsuit on a hot day at the beach.

How sad, then, that the Amish will never see these suits. Owing, you know, to that whole not gonna partake of modern technology like the internet thing.

These frocks look very much like old pics from the Victorian Age in England,
(all we have to do is turn back time and the world will be right again)
Now think good thoughts and click your heels.

The pendulum is swinging in the opposite direction. Instead of exposing as much as legally possible they actually leave something to the imagination.

You can leave something to the imagination without resorting to something as ugly and poorly designed as these suits.
