Who Knew Swimsuits Could Be "Wholesome" and Scary at the Same Time?

Ever wanted to turn heads at the beach? Ever wanted to look like a jackass and make your kids hate you for dressing them for summer? If so, check out Wholesome Wear's line of swim wear.

Fellow SG Editor Legionnaire sent this article to me about these "wholesome" swimsuits for "modest ladies."

Wholesome Wear's mission statement stresses the importance of "swimwear that highlights the face, rather than the body." The construction of the outfits intentionally "includes an undergarment with bright colors at the neck and shoulders to draw the eye to the face."

Somehow, it seems if eyes are drawn to the face of the wearer, it's only a spectator mentally recording the face of the lunatic who would wear something resembling a cropped snowsuit on a hot day at the beach.

Some of those ladies shouldn't have their bodies OR faces highlighted. Anyone else think the "gal" second from the right looks a bit man-ish?

Hey, you try to find eight different girls to model those fugly things? Sometimes you need a wig, a little make-up and a lot of improvisation.

They look like they would be difficult to swim in. But I guess functional isn't important when you are trying to be wholesome. surreal

What the obviously pious manufacturers fail to realize is that for some girls their body is their only saving grace.
Also interesting is that if you go to the site, they steps for ordering include "measure yourself" as its own step.
Good GOSH, I hope they don't take off their clothes to do so, lest they see themselves NAKED!

It's all very school teacher-esque, don't you think?

Maybe this is just a first step towards aqua-schooling.
