Tom Cruise & Isaac Hayes Have Something in Common...

Here it was always rumored that the Jews controlled the entertainment industry. Turns out Annie Proulx might have been spot on about her Scientology paranoia after all.

Earlier this week, Isaac Hayes announced he would be leaving South Park for his religious principles and now it's been confirmed that Tom Cruise got Comedy Central to cancel airing an episode of South Park this past Wednesday for its anti-Scientology leanings.

HOLLYWOOD bully Tom Cruise got Comedy Central to cancel Wednesday night's cablecast of a controversial South Park episode about Scientology by warning that he'd refuse to promote "Mission Impossible 3, insiders say.

Since Paramount is banking on MI3 to rake in blockbuster profits this summer, and Paramount is owned by Viacom, which also owns Comedy Central, the tactic worked.

The South Park episode, "Trapped in the Closet," pokes fun at Scientology and shows Cruise, John Travolta and R. Kelly (who is not a Scientologist, but has a song called "Trapped in the Closet") literally in a closet.

The episode, which first aired last November, was set to rerun Wednesday night, but was mysteriously pulled at the last minute.

Now, HollywoodInterrupted.Com reports Cruise went straight to the top - to execs at Viacom - and warned he'd boycott the promotion for MI3 unless the South Park episode was pulled.

Series creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have been told not to discuss the matter - to avoid embarrassing Cruise as they did Isaac Hayes last week when Hayes, also a Scientologist, quit his role as the voice of the Chef character.

Hayes claimed he couldn't stand by while South Park made fun of religion, but Stone pointed out that Hayes had cashed plenty of checks while the show made fun of Christianity, Judaism and Islam. Stone hinted that Hayes was pressed to quit by his minders in the Church of Scientology.

Cruise, a control freak? Nah...

I'm just waiting for some cockroach-like alien to crawl out of Hubbard's decomposed anus, up Hayes' Shaft and into some rocket headed straight for Cruise's mouth.

It's sad to think of Hayes not being on the show anymore, but that is the stupidest fucking excuse I've ever heard. Yea, I can really see how his morals just had to say no. Because I've really noticed how the show used to be a beacon of religious tolerance, and only seems to have gone downhill on... oh, just that one fucking show. whatever

In conclusion: Isaac Hayes, FUCK OFF! EL SUICIDO LOCO

I think he just got sick of saying 'hello children' for ten years.

That would be a more respectable excuse, anway.

I guess I won't go to see Mission Impossible 3 because Tom Cruise has denied me my South Park. I really hope Matt Stone and Trey Parker make fun of him again.

Tom Cruise is now officially the biggest douche in the universe (sorry John Edwards).

I feel sorry for celebrities who choose Scientology as their religion. They think it's a wonderful organisation that pampers its adherents in giant scientology centres, where beautiful people help them through the auditing process, and all that stuff, because that's the way you get treated at the celebrity centre. Alas, the experience for the man on the street is more like satans own pyramid scheme, where they are bullied and villified if they step out of line or attempt to leave. Scientologists have been murdered by their leaders for dissent, and child abuse is routine.

It's easy for Tom and Isaac to say they love scientology, and it's easy for us to bash them, but they are kept away from the ugly aspects of it while they sail around with the Sea Org, or whatever and will never believe that the nice people at Mindhead HQ are the morally (but most certainly not financially) bankrupt gits they are.

You don't know the history of scientology, Tom and Isaac, I do.

On some other site I saw this posted on, someone pointed out that we'll never notice that Isaac Hayes left. It would be easy enough to replace him with pre-recorded soundbytes, seeing as how Chef only ever says about three things anyway. wink

This disgusts me, and only gives me yet another reason to stay away from religions and zealots.

Not that I like south park, I personally dont like the show, but injustice is injustice whether Its something I favor or not.

My husband and I recorded that episode Wednesday night. We went to watch it last night and we were like WTF????

Thank you Tom Cruise for telling ME what I can watch in my own free time. And by doing this, I guarantee your MI3 will sleep with the fishes this summer.
