Pan and Scan Officially Launches

The brand new DVD and Digital Video Blog Pan and Scan officially launches today, tracking the latest DVD and digital video news, trends and culture from across the web. Edited by Peter M. Bracke, founder of dvdfile.com and author of such books as Crystal Lake Memories: The Complete History of Friday the 13th and Ultimate DVD: The Essential Guide to Building Your DVD Collection, the blog is a self-proclaimed "pop culture overview for digital technology enthusiasts, movie lovers, and a generation of couch potatoes possessing short attention spans." As the culture of home entertainment continues to evolve, Pan and Scan promises to cover everything from media news and gossip, to the latest release dates and reviews, up-to-minute industry developments, and technology trends.

Considering I equate "Pan and Scan" with pure, unadulterated evil, I will be avoiding this website.

i had HBO from an early age and when i was little and didn't know no better. I thought that whole pan and scan thing was how movies were made. Now, in film school i've found that in alot of my work there are camera movements that i've subliminally put in that resemble pan and scan. I believe I require a hatchet to the face. Anyone?
