Dana Reeve Loses Battle With Cancer

I don't much follow what is going on in Hollywood, but when I heard that Christopher Reeve's brave widow was diagnosed with lung cancer just months after his death, I was shocked and saddened.

... and today, when the news broke that she finally succumbed to the disease, all I could think about was their newly orphaned 13 year old son.

Dana Reeve, the singer-actress who married the strapping star of the �Superman� movies and then devoted herself to his care and his cause after he was paralyzed, has died of lung cancer, a year-and-a-half after her husband. She was 44.

Although Reeve had announced her cancer diagnosis in August � to an outpouring of sympathy and support from admirers around the world � her death seemed sudden. As recently as Jan. 12, she looked healthy and happy...

As sad as this story is my only question is wasnt she a non-smoker and she died of lung cancer. Hmmmmm this has to hurt the anti-smoking movement or will they try to twist this around.

I would like to know what was the cause of her cancer.

I really do feel sorry for the kid though losing all he loves at such a young age.

Smoking isn't the only way to get lung cancer.

Surely he has Godparents or family that will take him? I mean, don't get me wrong, still absolutely terrible, but I'm sure he won't be a ward of the state.

Does it get more tragic than this? Remind me to never marry into that family.
