In Cambridge, possibly the world's only self-proclaimed gothic priest is conducting church services for the children of the night.

The Reverend Marcus Ramshaw, associate vicar at St Edward King and Martyr Church, said about 20 Goths regularly attend the 45-minute service.

The service includes a specially written liturgy and Goth music, such as Depeche Mode and Sisters of Mercy.

The best part about this service may be that instead of the congregation getting together for brunch or coffee after the services, they all attend a local goth club nearby.

Mr Ramshaw, 34, who is a Goth, said he hoped to make the church meaningful to people from alternative communities.

The way this came out made me think it was like an ethnicity. "Why yes, my skin is naturally ghost-white, and these fangs grew in naturally."

Well, I'm going to take a shot in the dark that you are a few razed villages shot of official Hun-ship or Hun-ism.

And I thought goth=emo these days...at least, here in the states it is...industrial has lost it's popularity with people who wear black and smoke cloves, now it's all about guitars, pianos and violins. What, did you think Trent Reznor was suddenly interested in accoustic sound? Nope, he's just cashing in on misled youngsters with too much allowance.
