um, i can't listen to the second song in that slide show without thinking about serial killer transvestites wearing lady-suits. which totally ruined that for me.

Those goth girls are definetly a lot cooler than the mormon missionaries hehe.

it's just amazing how far goth's come. 20 years ago, you'd never see the grey lady sucking up to goths. but even the nyt realizes that they have to start taking post-punk subcultures seriously, lest they want to lose more of their potential readership to the internet.

two things:

- i haven't seen the other sets, but i'd hazard to guess that this is pretty heavy on the "hot chicks" side of the goth spectrum. goth is one of the few subcultures where plus-sized women can feel comfortable, but they're not really represented here. hmmm...

-is goth merely a fashion choice, an edgier way of looking fabulous? well, i'm sure that would never enter into the discussion of mormom missionaries (and btw, one of the most dedicated punk rockers i ever knew happened to be one.) but that's never even alluded to, here.

Personally as far as style I'd like to see a cross breed with the Mormons and bike messengers. I think the short sleeve white shirt, with tie and chain link belt would totally set it off.
