Michael Vick: The Ultimate Celebretard

By now we've learned that many celebrities (or celebretards, as I like to call them) don't exactly demonstrate the sharpest judgment skills. We've gaped and gawked at the lame excuses they've offered for their astonishing stupidity: Paris "didn't know her license was suspended," and Lindsay "was wearing someone else's pants." Uh huh.

But Michael Vick claiming that he "didn't know" what was happening on his property and pleading "not guilty" to dog fighting charges today is too much. His Nov. 26 trial date can't come soon enough. No matter which name you call him by, Michael Vick (AKA Ron Mexico, AKA Ookie) is a fucking celebretard of the highest order.

His 10-year, $130 million contract and (quickly dwindling) $7 million yearly endorsement portfolio have obviously warped his brain and led him to believe that he's above the law. His incredible stupidity and gall would almost be comical if not for the numerous dogs that he forcibly bred, trained to be killers, tortured, injected, tethered to car axles, starved, shot, electrocuted and drowned.

Dan Shannon of the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals, said lack of prosecution is [a] reason why dog fighting has not grabbed headlines.

"Unfortunately, it doesn't get brought to justice that often," he said. "People don't hear about it because there's not a lot of high profile cases."

The potential silver lining here is that as a celebretard, Michael Vick's fame has brought to light (and hopefully will bring to an end) the cruel and barbaric activity of dog fighting.

Mr. Vick faces a maximum penalty of six years in jail and a $350,000 fine if convicted. The N.F.L. could also take punitive action against Mr. Vick, perhaps jeopardizing the 10-year, $130 million contract he signed with the Falcons in 2002.

Not to mention probable, upcoming charges of racketeering based on the gambling aspects of dogfighting.

Do they have rape stands in prison?

I'd love to anally electrocute that bastard and then dunk him repeatedly in a pool of water. Finishing off with one of them hungry puppies and a rape stand. Ooh

so it's okay to hurt a person, not a dog.

funny short story. a stray cat came into my building. everyone was so nice, they gave it food, water, etc. everyone that it wsa the cutest thing.

then it bit someone. we took it to the mspca and it had to be terminated, so a brain biopsy could be done, so we would know wether or not my girlfriend would die from foaming at the mouth.

luckily, no rabies was found.

but what if it was a homeless person. someone would have called the cops, the guy would get handcuffed, humiliated, and odds are, not even be able to pass on any diseased to people.

animals are treated way better then people. i have sever animal allergies, so I can't be near an animal. not a dog, gerble, cat, parakete, mouse, anything. yet, people don't understand how much of a nuisance they can be.

we've gotten rid of smoking in public, let's get rid of animals in public. i cant breath around them, i get sick. my rights are being violated!

end of insane rant meant to cause people to get pissed.

1. Gotta love how someone in PETA w/such high standing is against pit bulls. She should be fucking smart enough to know that it's the owners, NOT the animals, that are to blame. People have been attacked by other breeds of dog. Pit bulls just get a bad rap because of poor breeding and jackass owners. While my personal opinion of PETA is flawed @best, she should still be fucking ashamed of herself.

2. While the evidence is damning against Michael Vick, and if he is guilty, then the title is very apt, he still has a right to due process just like any other American citizen. I'll reserve judgement until (if) he's convicted.

Wow. If Vick or anyone else that is into that shit is guilty, then they deserves the jail rapestand U spoke about. I love all animals and if they made PitBull fighting legal tomorrow I would still say it's a stupid sad thing to be into even tho they have been doing it since like the 1800's. . . but lke it or not it's innocent until proven guilty. You have to ask why is quail hunting legal? Didn't Cheney shoot that dude in the face? Why is deer hunting legal? 2 words. "Deer Hunter." Shall I say any more? What do they do to the greyhounds to get them to chase that fakeass rabbit around the track? What happens to the ones that lose all the time. What do they do to get the Horses to run so well? And what happens to the ones that lose all the time? What about that thing where the pit chases the hog in a close pen? Why isn't Peta going after them? Why is cock fighting illegal? Those questions are alot deeper than one might 1st think. Supposely or for certain Vick owns the house but doesn't live there which he has enough paper to live alot of places, so yea' he is guilty for being stupid enough to buy a crib for his dumbass convict cousins. But we all have those don't we? It's not illegal to have a rapestand. It's not illegal to have 100 pitbulls. It's not illegal to breed pits which Vick did have a license for that. It's not even illegal to be present at a dog fight in most states.
Wrong is Wrong no matter how you slice it but I like to know all the details before I go jumping the shark. I had a friend that was killed by a drunk driver so I would tend to think that DUI is a bit worst if your into grading that sort of thing. These are just things for food for thought. Ya' dig. Peace&Love

It is, in many states, illegal to own that many dogs. A kennel liscence doesn't give you the right to force breedings, and overpopulate an already overpopulated subspieces. Many states are also putting laws into place to ensure that people like Vick can't do stuff like this, by mandating kennel laws. While, as a breeder, I despise being told what I'm allowed to do on my property, as an animal advocate, when shit like this happens, I believe it's a fantastic policy.
Greyhound tracks are being shut down across the country, because they, too, are barbaric and cruel. Many of those dogs are being outletted into rescues and placed in loving homes.
Hunting is not illegal because it is both population control, and a source of food for many human beings. It rarely ever leaves the animal in a state of long term suffering.
Every single one of those dogs suffered, for days on end. And he should suffer equally. As humans, it's our responsibility to care for those who cannot care for themselves.
I'm sorry, but pitting any animal against it's brethren for sport is barbaric. It was barbaric when the Romans did it, it's barbaric now. If you want to measure the worthiness of a dog, don't do it by using it to destroy and maim it's cousins, do it by using the dog what it was designed for. Use it to hunt, to herd, to retrieve, to heal. That is the only place you'll see the true measure of any animal, when it is doing what it is designed to do.

End rant.
I hope he rots in jail, and then in hell.

Ok in response to all the above comments ^^^^^^^^ before mine....Michael Vick has more transgressions than just these dogs, as a local ATLien I have watched him on the news for years, for rape, transferring STD's, beating and bribing local strippers, getting busted for drugs of all sorts...his money has smoothed all of these things over before and finally the abuse to the dogs came forward.

It's time this SOB faces the consequences for what he does.

The whole thing makes me puke

Nothing is going to happen to him.

His money and his popularity will carry him through this. Bad people don't get punished. It's a part of our life, it's a part of our justice system.

Vick will use this to gain popularity, and pull people to his side, he will probably write a book about it. Kind of like drink milk because O.J. will kill you!

I am a total cynic when it comes to people getting what they deserve, bad people win every day. get used to it, the trend doesn't change.

I am just sad because dogs had to die.

If he killed a person I would agree with you because we are so desensitized to murder as a society. We read about murder everyday, watch it on tv, see it in the movies. I kill many people on a weekly bases in video games. MANY.

I have never killed a dog in a video game.

He will have to find a jury of 12 people who do not own animals - and probably are allergic to them. (allergic people often hate animals - and they are weak) I don't think it will be possible to find a jury that will let him off. Possibly a hung jury - but you just don't fuck with people's animals.
