Jim Morrison to Get Posthumous Pardon?

Jim Morrison is a legend for many reasons -- the Doors, poetry, leather pants, a tragic overdose and, of course, his infamous brushes with the law. The most notorious blunder took place during a 1969 concert in Miami, Florida where the rock-n-roll bad boy was arrested (and convicted) for indecent exposure and profanity after allegedly giving those in the front row a sneak peak of his nether regions. Unfortunately, before Morrison could follow through with an appeal, the frontman overdosed and died in a Parisian hotel.

However, a persuasive letter from Dave Diamond, a Doors fan living in Ohio, has prompted current Florida governor Charlie Crist to consider giving Morrison a posthumous pardon.

Doors keyboardist Ray Manzarek says he never saw Morrison expose himself and none of the more than 100 photos entered into evidence showed Morrison’s private parts. Manzarek says the rock legend did curse repeatedly.
