Despite his post-mortem ascention to god-like status, peace lovin' John Lennon was a dick. During a 1974 visit to the Playboy Mansion, the former Beatle almost got his ass kicked by some partygoers after he put out his cigarette on one of Hef's priceless Matisse paintings. At the time, Lennon was going through one of his prolonged separations from estranged wife Yoko Ono and blamed the incident on his being completely fucking wasted. Imagine that...

Hefner, now 80, says, "(Lennon) misbehaved a little bit and a couple of my friends took exception to it. I didn't witness it. I was elsewhere in the mansion. He put a cigarette out on a Matisse and one of my friends was gonna... But he had been drinking. I was a huge fan. He was under a tremendous amount of pressure, you know, from the government.
