Denis Leary: Appetite for Destruction

Actor/comedian Denis Leary's signature rants have always been packed with scathing quips and delightful sarcasm. Most of his friends and fans wouldn't have him change a thing. Except actress Elizabeth Hurley, who co-starred with Leary in 2002's Double Whammy. Last month during a platonic dinner date, Hurley scolded him for unleashing his wrath on a waiter who, to Leary's dismay, was letting his buddies snap photos of the two celebs mid-meal.

He explains, "What happened was the waiter allowed friends of his to take photographs of the two of us while we ate. I eat like an animal and I'd rather people weren't taking photos when I have half a steak hanging out of my mouth. I took exception to this and we had words. Fortunately, Liz was a little more democratic than me and she calmed the situation."

As a result, the 49-year-old has now promised to only show his anger on screen. He adds, "I can get a little hot-headed. I've decided I'm only going to get angry if people pay me to!"
