Although you probably wouldnt associate Gwen Stefani with Russian spies, a bizarre spy-who-carried-radiation story pulled the singer into its periphery. While in Toronto promoting her new solo disc, The Sweet Escape, Stefani learned she and her baby, Kingston, may have been exposed to radiation during a British Airways flight last week. The airline admitted they found on some of their jets traces of the radio-active material that killed a Russian spy.

"We might have radiation too,'' Stefani, 37, said with a slight grin when asked about the revelation in an interview on Thursday, her last day in the city. "No, I'm just kidding. I hope not.''

Uh, yeah, for real, she better hope not; former Russian spy, Alexander Litvinenko, ended up with alpha radiation from polonium-210. Before his radiation-poisoning death on November 23rd, the radiation passed through his body to various people and places throughout London. He may have transferred the highly toxic substance to someone who later boarded the airplane. Despite this, officials claimed the health risk to the public is low; polonium-210 must be ingested to be dangerous, so unless Stefani was chewing on her fellow passengers, shes probably ok.

Don't forget to name them after your clothing brand, forbid them to speak in public, and erase all traces of their former selves... that way they shall fit seamlessly into your brand identity.

You're twenty-seven and you use the word "poser"...and not in a comical way?

In case you weren't aware...she's in the entertainment industry...where things are not always what they seem. Did you know that when you watch movies & television...things aren't always as they seem? For instance...Gary Oldman is not, in fact, Count Dracula. Sally Field is not a nun and furthermore does not possess the ability to fly.

Elton John's job is not actually to be a rocketman...five days a week.

Well, yeah, I was kind of using it in a comical way.

And furthermore, she really DOES take those girls most places she goes. It hasn't just been in all of her music videos.

I think paying people to hang out with you is just wrong in some sort of way - like paying to join a fraternity or a sorority. "Look, ma, I paid an assload of money and I have ALL these new friends!"

Lame.

I just really, really, REALLY fucking hate Gwen Stefani - I pretty much always have. I mean, back in her earlier days she was just less offensive. She's gotten way worse since she sold out and went the pop route.

I had much more respect for her back in the day when she was doing her own thing, though. Now I feel like every time I see her I'm watching a train wreck.

And regardless, I have the right to my opinion, last I checked. We don't like what we don't like, and we don't always have to have a wonderful, water-tight reason why. Mr. Cash isn't the only person in the world who is entitled to his opinion. End of story.
