Tara Reid Bares All About Boob Job

Party girl and occasional actress Tara Reid has made a shocking confession: She has breast implants. However, this "duh" moment is a rare admission for Reid - shes always been circumspect about her implants, even though they're not.

In a candid interview with Us Weekly, the girl known for American Pie and tit slippages comes clean about her plastic surgery experience.

On why she had plastic surgery in the first place:
"I got my breasts done for the first time because my breasts were uneven. I was a 34-B, but the right one was always bigger than the left. I weigh 110 pounds now, but I always used to fluctuate by 10 pounds, so my skin was kind of saggy. I figured, Im in Hollywood, Im getting older, Im going to fix them."

On what went wrong:
"First of all, I asked for big Bs, and he did not give me big Bs. He gave me Cs, and I didnt want them. At all. Right after the surgery, I had some bumps along the edges of my nipples, but the doctor said, Dont worry, its going to be better. But after six months of its going to get better, it started to get worse and worse."

Reid also says that her new busty look was not a hit with the fellas.

"Guys I was dating would be like, 'Whats wrong with them? They look really bad. You know, you should really get them fixed.' So embarrassing. I mean, you definitely need to turn off the lights, thats for sure."

According to Reid, there was another reason for the many unflattering photos of her - she received a bad liposuction job as well. Unfortunately, her "body contouring" did not go according to plan, she says, leaving her stomach "ripply and bulgy."

Reids true confessions landed her the cover story of this weeks Us magazine. Somehow I doubt plastic surgeons will carry this issue in their office.

This fucking ideal of what beauty should be makes me so mad. When women like Tara, who are already beautiful by our fucked up standards of nearest-to-perfect beauty, feel the need to undergo proceedures like lipo it is such a damning and sad commentary on what the values of our pop-culture society can do to people. This is exactly why ideas like SuicideGirls are so badly needed. Vive la SG!!

A "big B" would be a C cup. Especially with the swelling.

I think it's interesting that people who are heavily into tattoos and piercings would be against plastic surgery like lipo or boob jobs. It's all about appearance isn't it?

Yes, I understand the arguments about women conforming to obscene standards of beauty in society but I feel really uncomfortable with that -- it makes all women sound like clones without independent thought.

I'm all for plastic surgery if done thoughtfully and researched to find what works best to make you happier. And looking good does make many people feel happy.
