Jack Osbourne Says He Once Pulled a Knife on Kelly

Now sober Jack Osbourne says he realized he had a substance abuse problem when he pulled a knife on his sister, Kelly (c’mon, her album wasn’t that bad).

In a new autobiography (at age 20!) Jack reveals that was the least of his problems.

Apparently young Osbourne used to partake of a wide range of illicit stuff, including booze, weed, Vicodin, OxyContin, even nitrous oxide. Jack says that dad Ozzy’s fame opened the door to the glamorous world of addiction.

I'd see my dad taking pills, and I would go to the shop and buy myself a box of Tic Tac mints. Then I would bring them home and swallow them down - just to be like him.

On my 13th birthday, I discovered the joys of drinking. I was able to get my hands on a few shots of whiskey and, unlike most people, I quite liked my first taste and I got drunk for the first time.


And it was all downhill from there. Among the highlights (or lowlights) of Osbourne’s life as an addict: evenings out that would end with him vomiting in the street, depression, getting into fist fights, cutting himself and, finally, attempting suicide.

I reached for a bottle of absinthe that I had in my hotel room, mixed it with water and chugged as much as I could.

It wasn't easy to keep down, and I remember half-retching it back up at the same time. But eventually I knew I had drunk a pretty hefty amount, so I looked around and found several bottles of pills: Soma, Xanax and Dilaudid, a pretty potent cocktail of prescription opiates.

I helped myself to a handful, swallowed them and climbed into bed. I lay there, my hands bleeding and my head spinning, as I waited for death to take me.


Clearly it didn’t, but sobriety eventually did. Whether it was his near-death experience or the fear of eventually talking like his father, Jack says he’s been clean for almost three years.

He looks a lot better now. You can tell he feels better, too. With Ozzy for a dad, I don't think anyone is surprised that he's struggled with addiction.

really....who fucking cares about Ozzy's talentless children? People should be more aware of the fact that Sharon has changed his first two solo albums so she doesnt have to pay Bob Daisley the back royalties for writing all the music that made him famous beyond pissing on the Alamo. She a fucking thief like her old man who ripped off Sabbath Millions...Remeber them, the band that Geezer and Iommi wrote everything else Ozzy did aside from that god awful song Changes Ozzy wrote on Volume 4? Embarrassing end to a legacy. Dont believe me, check it out for sure on Daisleys website for some rare truth on the matter.

Why on Earth did he stop after pulling the knife on her???? Damn you Jack, can you do nothing right?

I have to differ, however on the whole Ozzy-bashing. The worst part of him is his wife. Well his kids too, but he was a kick ass singer, Sabbath would not have been the same without him.

I didnt bash him so much as I did his anti-christ wife. But you'd think he should have a conscience and some respect to those that wrote all the music that made him famous. Vol.4 happens to be my favorite album from them since 7th grade...not that it means anything but that was like 1977. And that song just flat out sucks. But I do find it beyond insulting to us as his fans what she did to Diary and Blizzard. Do you think Randy Rhoads would have approved? I know his mother wasnt even consulted on the matter...
