Britney Spears Gives Birth to Baby Boy

Britney Spears gave birth to a baby boy today at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. This is the second child for Spears and her husband, Kevin Federline. The as yet unnamed baby joins big brother, Sean Preston, who will turn one year old on September 14th.

Spears wanted to give birth to the new baby through Cesarean section on the 14th so her children would have the same birthday, but Federline put his foot down, insisting the children have separate birthdays.

"Kevin took Britney to the hospital in the evening hours of Sept. 11 to prepare for the Cesarean birth," an insider said. Only her mother Lynn, and her sister Jamie Lynn were present at the birth. None of Kevin's family was there.

Congrats to the parents, and their new Cheeto.

Britney and her un-amused younger sister, Jamie-Lynn.

geez that's insane forcing the kid out with a c-section because it seems fun to have them share a birthday.

she's just retarded... but she was going to have a c-section anyway so it wasn't ENTIRELY for a birthday's sake.

i feel for britney.
when she snaps out of her k-fed trance shes gonna need all the support she can get.
having all the money in the world doesn't even make her situation appealing to me.

Maybe they're really happy... if so, good for them. But both of them are annoying as hell.

Didn't John Lennon and Yoko do that with Sean Lennon so he'd share John's birthday? Something about it being good luck? In restrospect, it doesn't so much seem like it was. But I thought I read that somewhere.

I'm a man so I really have little say in the matter, but I'm sad she voluntarily choose a C-Section again. That's not the way to experience childbirth.

luck and serendipity are two things. to synchronize events for the sake of remembrance is something i've done in my own life from time to time; timing return visits to places i've been, and so on and so forth. my bet is that if they did this indeed, then Sean's birthday each year is filled with its measure of joy and bittersweetness. what was the quote from The Crow? "No-one is gone as long as you remember them"?

anyway. nothing to do with Britney. but good to ponder! ooo aaa

hahaha the pic is priceless. Her sister is looking at her like, "god I will never be this dumb." Kevin Federline.. what a joke, putting his foot down?! This just shows you that this relationship is doomed. I feel bad for the kids. the white "bobby and whitney" or if we are lucky maybe Ike and Tina.

I'd say you should withhold that comment until you've had to give birth to a child. As though having the kid inside you for nine months, you're saying you'd rather have your wife go through hours of excrutiating pain so she has the "correct" experience of child-birth? frown

As I said, I have little say in the matter, but I think C-Sections are way to prevalent in the US, not to mention they have higher risks of complications including: death, infection, and post-partum depression.

I wouldn't force a mother to do anything, but I certainly wouldn't recommend that she go through a major surgical procedure, especially when it isn't necessary.
