Roy Disney Files Complaint with SEC over Eisner

Roy Disney, Walt Disney's nephew and Disney Company shareholder, has filed a complaint with the Securities and Exchange Commission against Michael Eisner citing that Eisner has created "schemes that recycle rather than innovate", as well as blaiming him for the failure endeavours such as Go.com, ABC Family Channel, and Disney's California Adventure.

"The daring, dynamic, creative and businesslike management of the post-1984 years has given way to a staid and inbred group under the singular imperial rule of an Emperor (Michael Eisner) and his enabling Court (the board of directors). The once lean organization has become top heavy with intelligent and well-intentioned schemers, who rather than supporting the creative soul, dictate to the artists what must be done (and won't tolerate differing views)

With the Disney Company's shareholder meeting in March, sites like As the Apple Turns and the San Francisco Chronicle have speculated that the complaint is related to Pixar's dissolution of Disney's distribution agreement.
The complaint filed by Roy Disney also calls for Disney's shareholders to withhold their votes from Eisner and three members of the board at the March shareholder's election.
