Giving The Jews A Bit ‘O The Jesus

Earlier this month there was basketball game between Bishop Sullivan Catholic High School and Norfolk Academy of Virginia Beach, during which opposing students in the stands exchanged chants. It was all in good fun, up until the Catholic kids decided to throw Jesus in the face of the Jewish kids who attend Norfolk.

"Then, at some point, our students were chanting, 'We love Jesus,'" said Dennis Price, the principal of Bishop Sullivan.

And in an added touch of class, the word "Jew" was painted on the wall behind the Bishop Sullivan student’s section. Needless to say the principal was a little embarrassed.

Price has organized sensitivity training for the students and sent a letter of apology to Norfolk academy’s headmaster. He also arranged for the Virginia Conference for Community and Justice and the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater to work with students.

"It is important that we work harder at having students leaving here who are tolerant and understand how serious these kinds of things are," said Price, who said diversity training will be incorporated permanently at Sullivan.

Then maybe you guys should also stop teaching the, “Jews killed Jesus” stuff.
