Decemberists New Album Details

The Decemberists are coming early this year. The new album entitled The Crane Wife will be arriving October 2nd from Capitol records, the band's first submission since joining the major label's family. The new album is co-produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab For Cutie. I assume the "co-" means The Decemberists did the other half of the production chores.

It has been revealed that singer/songwriter Laura Veirs performed a duet with Colin on a ballad called "Yankee Bayonet." Other guests include Sun City Girls' Eyvind Kang on violin, and Chris Walla is singing and playing keyboards throughout the record, here and there.
