"Survivor" Winner Arrested for Shooting Puppy; Americans Vote to Make Him Kibble
He's not a celebrity, but he did have 15 minutes of fame. Now "Survivor: Thailand" winner Brian Heidik is about to have 15 more... possibly in prison. Heidik, 38, has been arrested for allegedly shooting a puppy with an arrow outside his Atlanta-area home.

Heidik claims he thought the puppy was a coyote that had been harassing his pets. However, in true innocent-man fashion, he fled his home after sheriff’s deputies were called. According to a county deputy, Heidik's wife and 5-year-old son were home at the time.
"At about 3 a.m., his wife called to report that he was outside and that he had shot a puppy that was on his property with an arrow and planned to shoot another one," Copeland said.
The wounded puppy and a second puppy were placed in the care of animal control officials. Meanwhile, those nefarious puppy-coyotes may not have been the only victims.
Copeland said there was evidence in the home to support a charge of battery for family violence. Because the case is pending, he could not elaborate on the nature of the evidence.
The Survivor “winner” has been charged with battery and cruelty to animals.
