i have a full belly. i've eaten a lot of pizza tonight.
my head is telling me to go to the gym... but my body is telling me to stay on the couch and watch another episode of Angel, season 4.
decisions, decisions...
this heat is getting ridiculous. i can't wait for cooler weather... because:
* i won't sweat my guts out going from the shower to my bedroom to get dressed.
* i get to wear cute beanies and keep my ears warm.
* snuggling will be so much more comfy
* scarves! (i'll have to finish the one i started last winter...)
* ooh! snuggles... without sweat!
* hot cups of tea.
* rainy sundays spent in cafe's sipping hot chocolate and people watching.
* overcast days sitting on the sand at a quiet beach.
* did i mention SNUGGLES?!!
well i'm not usually one to wish the summer away but seriously, the heat is starting to really get to me. could have something to do with not being able to get to a larger body of water than my shower.
pig is doing laps of her enclosure. she's hungry but the pet store was out of rats
i have to check back tomorrow. fingers crossed. i hate making her wait for food.
this blog is all over the place... but so is my head at the moment.

Applying for a new job this afternoon! i really hope i get it... it cannot possibly be any worse than murphs. i need to get out of that place asap!

as much as i love living by myself... i don't really care for hearing my neighbour snore. the walls are thin. i can only hope he doesn't care for hearing me have sex. small victories, ya know...?
got a phonecall tonight (well early hours thismorning - wake up call much?) from the guitarist in my mans band... asking if Andy was with me... it seems he disappeared right after they had finished playing, leaving his keys and phone on his drumkit... totally out of charcter for him to do something like that. so here i am getting all stressed out and worrying that something had happened to him... then about half an hour later, after they had to call someone to get the spare keys for the van, they checked to see if the van was unlocked and there sprawled out in the back of the van was andy... apparently he had decided that he was going to take a little nap while they got themselves organised (they usually take a while before packing up... maybe he thought he had time?!?). SO not like him to do something like that. he is usually the first packed up...
he is home safe now... but i can imaging he will be in some shit tomorrow as far as the the rest of the band goes... and fair enough too.
i'm taking breakfast things over tomorrow at aboout lunch time and hopefully i'll get the full story.
anyways i'm going to try to get back to sleep...

Well here we are, almost at the end of January! it doesn't feel like new year was all that long ago and already the easter eggs are starting to make their appearances in supermarkets. now, i'm a lover of chocolate from waaaaaaay back... but it just doesn't seem right to me.
well i'm finally back online after new year and now the floods in brisbane. my internet has been down.
luckily my apartment is up high enough to have not been affected, but we did have to evacuate andy as his street ended up underwater. his apartment is fine as he is on the second floor and luckily his garage stayed pretty dry but the street is a mess. in the lowest point of the street we saw 2 cars that were almost completely covered with water... and that was when the floods hadn't even peaked yet.
we've been cut off on all sides so no access to the city (or work). nothing left to do byt stay in and keep up to date with the news coverage. not exactly how i had planned to spend my 30th birthday. i know i shouldn't complain, at least we were safe... but still.... it would have been nice to have dinner cooked for me (i had to cancel dinner plans due to the flood, obviously) or some special effort made. it got me pretty down that andy didn't even offer. didn't help. just left it to me. i don't think he really copes with stressful situations very well. at least i manage to keep a level head...
on the up side he is going to take me to see Wicked in sydney for my birthday... but i'm not sure when because he hasn't organised it yet...
all in all a pretty shit birthday.

does anyone else think that the SG mobile site is shit?!? pointless trying to use it and it still won't let me sign in to the main site from there... just keeps bouncing me back to the mobile site. really giving me the shits.
had christmas dinner with andy, MissMinda, petey, MJ and matty tonight we decided to do secret santa gifts instead of spending loads on lots of gifts. i got a survival guide to zombies yearly desk calendar 
somehow i have agreed to keep a journal for the year and send the group letters on my survival of the zombie apocalypse... perhaps i'll occasionally post something on here of my progress lol.
anyways, only two more days till christmas... and that means 3 days off for me! i'm heading to andy's folks place with him for christmas. i'm really looking forward to it! 3 days at the beach! hopefully the weather stays warm its really feeling like summer now! and i'm loving the tropical storms we've been having... i just hope the weather stays fine while i'm away.

i had coffee and a catch up with my brother who i haven't seen in 20 years! no joke... it really has been 20 years. unbelievable! had such a great time! the only down side to the catch up was that i had to meet him out at the logan hyperdome (shopping centre) because he was staying near there whilst in brisbane and i missed the last direct bus home so i had to wait a half an hour till the next bus which only took me half the way home, then had to wait 40 minutes for a connecting bus that took a good 40 minutes to get me into the city... then a 15 minute wait for my train... then a 10 minute walk to andys. oh my god what a journey!!! i now remember why i will NEVER live on the south side again!!!
i ordered some clothes from the Beserk webstore and they arrived today! i haven't brought new clothes in ages and i'm really happy with my new purchase... plus they arrived in good time... the service was fantastic
i'm now sitting in Andy's loungeroom with my feet up on his lap and he is massaging my calves... *does the dance of bliss* he even made me a cuppa i love this man... and not just because of the leg massages and tea

wow... what an interesitng few days i've had.
i found out on thursday evening that my mum had to have emergency surgery that morning. she had a hernia the size of a fist and adhesions (?) strangling her bowel from a previous surgery. scary stuff but we were able to have a small giggle about whether or not she had a good surgeon stitching her back up and if he tried to match the tattoo back up that he has had to cut thru... i guess we'll find out soon. so glad that my mum has a bit of a sense of humour... it keeps us all hopeful tht she will have a speedy recovery.
had to call in sick to work today but it was totally self inflicted. i guess i'll plan when i party a little better next time and not do things on such a whim. but damn! i had so much fun MissMinda and i got up to plenty of mischief and i can now say that she has finally experienced the two extremes of my... art. oh yeah, and she managed to paint optimistic prime... who started out as negatron
i'm waiting for andy to get home now. we are ordering pizza and going to watch a movie then probably an early night to bed.
