Very sad day today. I have big red puffy eyes. I look like I could do with a good sleep (and it's true, I really could).
My mum took our 20 year old cat, tash bear, to the vet this morning. She was told that my kitty had suffered a stroke through the early hours of the morning. Since the bleed was only going to ge worse, the most humane thing was to euthenase her. I've cried my eyes out all afternoon. Mum has arranged to have her cremated. I managed to pull my shit together to go to work, and have thanked the p.t.b. that nobody wants to drink or gamble tonight because I don't want to talk to or be around anybody.

I wish I could have been there with her at the end. Stupid work and not having enough staff to cover my shift. I feel horrible.

I got some shitty news today. My cat who is 20 years old is probably not going to make it thru the night. She started fitting today and I'm stuck at work and can't be with her. My mum is at home with her tho. I just want to go home.

I move I to my new place on tuesday. Really looking forward to it, but at the same time I don't want to move out of andy's. True, I'll only be a block away from his place, but I'd still rather be living with him instead of someone else.

Just replenished my 'zombie' make up kit. The Brisbane Zombie Walk is in just over a month and I'm starting to get a bit excited about it! Costume has been selected and now all I have left to do is make my dress and and play around with the makeup.looks like I'm doing makeup for a few people on the day, so pics will be posted once the walk has happened.

In other news, looks like my salon plans may be closer than I thought! I find out at the end of the week if my sister is going to be my silent business partner and if it's all going to go ahead. Keep everything crossed for me! Working a zillion hours at the moment. Which is fine, but I'd much rather be working a zillion hours for myself, not somebody else.

I REALLY don't want to get out of bed... But the day has to start somewhere. I might just nap for another half hour ') zzzZzzZZzzzz

Finally finished move #1! woo! So glad that's over. Handed the keys back today and hopefully there will be no problems with getting my bond back - they 'misplaced' my entry report... Luckily I'm anal about keeping copies of that kinda thing!

So I'm living with Andy for about a month I'm loving it but I also can't wait to get back to being in my own space. It's kinda frustrating having all my stuff in storage and not being able to just get stuff I would usually use day-to-day. It would be easier if we just lived together and I had my stuff here. But he still needs time to get his head around sharing his space full time.

I'm really feeling sprig at the moment! Today I bought a sewing pattern for a pretty summer dress. Can't wait to get my sewing machine out of storage and get started on sewing it! It's something I hasn't done for ages!

Had tea and cake at my new favourite teahouse today. It's a little place near where I live called Kichi Ba. Homemade cakes and an assortment of delicious teas to choose from! Also the best tiny Japanese toffees

Tonight we have dinner planned as a bit of a send off for our friend Mark. He is going o/s for work for a year or two. It will be sad to see him go but an exciting new adventure for him, and let's face it... If you had the
chance to travel to a different country with work, you'd jump at the chance, right?!? I know I would (as long as Andy could come with me!).

I recently went to see a nutritionist to correct a few bad eating habits. It's only been a few weeks but already I am seeing some positive changes so I'm pretty happy about that but have now sustained a pole dancing injury, so off to see someone about that soon. Found someone local who specialises in aerial dance injuries! Am pretty surprised actually. But also pleased still loving it and couldn't think of giving it up now! Starting inverts next term (in 3 weeks). Excited! And also a little afraid lol! The instructors make it all look so easy! One day!!!

starting to plan the first of two very close together moves.

move number 1 will be from my current little one bedroom apartment to the storage space. i have too much furniture to fit into andys garage. i'll be staying with him for a month tho, which will be nice (and also a trial run).

move number 2 will be a month later from the storage space to the new 2 bedroom apartment i'm really starting to look forward to it! once i'm in, i think we will organise a little house warming dinner and drinks nothing too big, just a thankyou to everyone i'm roping in to help!

SO... the packing starts today. i don't want to be packing at the last minute and moving in a stressful rush. i hate packing but at least i have time to really go through all my stuff and do a big clean out.

lunch, a whole lot of chores, some packing, then some shopping with my man to buy him some new jeans...
he split his pants climbing up onto the stage at his gig on saturday night. the entire crotch split open right before he had to start playing. lucky for him he was wearing black undies... he almost wore his spongebob ones... every time he sat down the jeans popped open and his undies were there on full display. not great for a shy drummer... but amusing for everyone else

I have almost no voice. Not since Friday morning. I was a bit croaky Thursday night and when I woke Friday morning I had barely a whisper. It's been quite comical actually. I've had to work the last 3 nights in the bar and trying to communicate with people when you can't speak cacn be interesting and amusing!

I went and inspected a place to potentially move to. It's close to andys place and looks nice and clean. Lots of space, a little balcony, built-in... But what I'm most excited about is the bathtub!!! Showers are all well and good but you can't beat a nice hot relaxing soak in the tub after a long day on your feet! Hehe it's the simple things in life that usually make us happy

I just worked my last Friday night at the bar! I'm really looking forward to starting back in the salon and having a free night to catch up with friends again, but I'm also glad I still have Saturday nights in the bar. I think I'd miss it a little bit if I wasn't doing it at all. Mostly I think it's the people I'm working with now. We have a really good team right now - people I really enjoy spending time with.

It's dead here tonight tho. I've done nothing since I got to work except clean the fishtank. I'd rather be at home sleeping off this cold/flu... If I'm not careful I'll be sleeping it off here at the bar lol! Maybe it's time for some starjumps hehe!

Anyways, I should really find something to do to keep myself awake.

how is everyone on this fine day?

i've had a productive but unexciting morning. finished all my laundry. now re-colouring the green in my hair and considering going blonde with green instead of black with green... but can't decide. not today tho. i have haircut clients from midday today then a trip into the city for pole class tonight. yay!

i have been thinking lately about buying a bike to get around. i just saw crimsonpetals' post and now i want a bike even more!!! this is what i want:

Wishing I was more tired than I actually am right now. There is a very snuggly (asleep) man in the room next to me and here I am wide awake. The countdown begins. Only a month to go before I will sleep like a normal person again! I will NOT miss bar work. I will NOT miss dealing with drunk fuckwits. I will not miss getting home at 4am. I will Not miss creepy old men eyeballing me while I change their notes and coins for the gaming machines. I will NOT miss the trashed metro 18 year old males who think they can change my mind about my man. I will, however, miss working with some great people. And I will miss the early morning brews and breakfasts.

Hurry up August 4th! Only 30 something more sleeps.
