its been a while since i last dropped by here. did you miss me? ha!
i've been a bit over technology lately and have been spending my time painting and sewing and and sleeping.
i'm trying to get a a little inspiration back. i haven't painted since mid last year (a starwars collection for andy for his birthday)... trying my hand at oils this time, but i don't love them just yet. i'm too impatient to wait for the drying period! ha! i have found some pastel pencils i'm going to test run soon too. not really sure where its all going but i'm enjoying the time at home and i'm just having fun.
andy and i have decided that we are going to plan a holiday to canada sometime around the end of this year or early next year! i'm a bit excited already, even tho nothing has been done past deciding on the destination. now i have to start saving my arse off, this shall be an interesting task since i've never been good at that... but i really want this holiday to happen, and i've never been out of australia before!
its going to mean a bit of staying in and finding ways to have fun that don't cost big bucks and trying to find more work on my off days or a new job that offers me more than 3 shifts eace week.

On another note, I got a kitty today! Well he isn't really a kitty, he's more like a cat. And his name is Errol. He's pretty awesome and ridiculously cute!
Had dinner with mj, matty and nyssa tonight. Great to catch up.

strange phone call and texts from some random, claiming he knows me and acting all surprised that i didn't know who he was and that i didn't have his number in my phone. knew my name (so no coincidence) and when asked how he knows me, he replied 'woodies'. which means he a) shopped at the same record store as me when i was 15, and has no life (demonstrated by the stalking 15 years later) lol... or b) he can't spell and meant woolies...? it has me stumped. but i'm not going to lose sleep over it.

So... yesterday was day one of study! what a time to start huh?!? summer school - right before christmas and a heap of birthdays, including my own! but what better time to start than right now!
i'm loving it, but the main thing i'm finding difficult is sitting still for 4 hour blocks... at least that will really only be monday mornings - anatomy and physiology 1. massage therapy 1 and chinese acupressure 1 are more hands on and practice management is pretty cruisy, though i did get my first assignment today for that subject :s but i've been a good girl and decided to get stuck straight into it when i got home today. i have it roughly set out and one question (out of 6) half done already... so i think thats a good start. i have vowed to not leave anything till the last minute... we'll see how i go!
andy is doing well and has gone back to work today. surprisingly, his manager has been great, and the company he works for offers counselling for their staff so it all got organised for him. the last text i got from him at lunch tme said that he was having a great day! first time i've EVER heard him say that about this job.
off to work now. hope you're all having a good day!

Some exciting news! I applied and got accepted into a Traditional Chinese medicine and remedial massage course... And i start in a weeks time! Excited and nervous at the same time! The assignment writing frightens me but learning new, interesting things will be great!

Feeling really down at the mo. Andy has has a short hospital stay due to chest pain. He is fine... Not his heart, but lots of tests to work out what's wrong and they still can't tell us. He has been visiting his folks on the coast for the past few days, to have some down time. I've hardly heard from him and when I tried to call I just got voicemail, then a text saying he couldn't talk right now. It's so unlike him to go this long without calling or sending a text. He was having more tests while away, and I still don't know the outcome. I'm really worried that something more serious is wrong and he is just not telling me 
I also think he doesn't realise by not telling me what's going on, I only worry more. He is supposed to come home tomorrow and now I'm not even sure if that is happening.
Sorry for the blubbering. I just had to get it out.

They say that change is as good as a holiday...
I'm thinking that really, I need both. I need a holiday to clear my head and help me decide what my change will be. I feel like I've done all I can/want to do with hairdressing, and I'm so very tired and bored with it all. Makeup is my next choice but the course that I really want to do is out of my price range at the moment. I guess smaller bite sized courses are probably my next best option. But where to start?!? Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated
I have already done some training at the Napoleon make up academy, in Brisbane, but bridal/glamour is not where my heart lies... I want to work with prosthetics/etc and create scars/wounds/monsters etc. that would, at this point, make me one very happy girl.

Tomorrow I'm catching up with an old school friend who I haven't seen in about 14 years! I'm so excited! We were basically joined at the hip throughout school and both went our separate ways after finishing our senior year. Having breakfast together with one of her brothers who I was also friends with back then. CAN'T FUCKING WAIT!!!

participated in the Brisbane Zombie Walk yesterday. had SO much fun! went as a Stepford wives zombie with some friends. made my costume using a 1952 pattern. used green with white polkadot fabric. and also a white apron with other fabric as detail. spattered it with a tasty homemade fake blood. sadface. got home and it all washed out! happydance! now i have a nice dress to wear out! will post a pic later.
still sad about my cat.
looking for a secong job. the little hardware store down the street is looking for front counter people and i had a chat to them the other day. i'm dropping my resume in today. fingers crossed!
don't want to go to work today. have had a headache all day and its not going away even with medication. the noise of the pokie room and a band is not going to be fun if i can't get rid of this ache.
