So here's my thing.

Do the current job, plus one shitty night part time job?

(seeing how much debt I have, I do need a better cash flow)

OR

use what I have in my portfolio, plus new projects... and find myself a firm.

(I'm not leaving calgary, just yet).

ah yes, but see, it's not the cold that makes me skin have little panic attacks, it's the sudden lack of humidity. toronto goes from 85-90% humidity down to about 10% in the fall, and that's what turns my skin inside out.

i think i might have mentioned this to you before, but the great thing about the toronto market for media is the size. because it's so huge it doesn't always have to be about 'who you know.' although that always helps. but you can get your foot in the door with a lot of persistance and a decent portfolio.

that being said, a small town is sometimes a lot better as far as the jobs you'll be getting. in a large firm it takes a looooong time to work your way up from anything other than grunt work. in a smaller firm, with less job competition, you might get some amazing opportunities come your way early on.

P.S. Can we see some of your portfolio?

P.P.S. I heard somewhere that taping positive words/statements on the outside of a water bottle supposedly changes the chemical composition of the water in some new-agey kind of way. If that's true, what does an SG sticker do, I wonder?

P.P.P.S. Crap, you just reminded me that I paid $60 for an online Flash class I have to finish by Dec. 31st.
