Hey everyone, and a belated Happy New Year!
2012 seems to have gotten off to a good start, besides a few minor hiccups.
Christmas was great, really quiet, just the two of us, as our housemates went away, but that was kind of how I wanted it. I got the most awesome present:
The EvelynEvelyn graphic novel. The artwork in it is brilliant, and the story is so cute. I'm slightly obsessed with Amanda Palmer, so it was the perfect present. She is one of the most inspirational artists out there, and isn't afraid to be exactly who she is, the world needs more role models like that. Plus, she's pretty damn hot.
Christmas lunch was so delicious, we made a vegetarian version of a Beef Wellington, obviously K couldn't go without meat, so he had a massive hunk all to himself.
And ate far too much, washed down with a bottle of Prosecco given to us by our housemates
I made chocolate macarons for dessert, which, although far from perfect, weren't bad for a first attempt. I'll have to try more soon. I won't stop until I get them right!
K had to go to work a few days after Christmas, so as I was recently given a bicycle by a friend, as she got a new one. I decided to cycle the 11 miles in with him. It wasn't too bad, the 11 miles back was hard though, and my legs paid for it the next day, but it made me feel really good. Its so nice to not have to rely on public transport. I went out again today, to learn my way to work so I can start cycling in from next week, and it's fair to say, I am officially in love with my bicycle.
We also went down to my brothers for a couple of days to see him and his family. We went to Longleat Safari Park, which was so cool, so much better than a zoo, as the animals actually have room to move, and looked so well looked after. The weather was awful when we went though, so walking around anywhere, we just got soaked, but the drive bit was great. I still find it a bit weird seeing lions in the English countryside though. I definitely want to go back in the summer, as its so big, we really didn't get to see everything.
It was good to see my nephews, they're a bit of a handful at times though. It kind of made me even more sure of the fact that I don't want kids. I have 5 awesome nephews, who i can see whenever I like and then give back, I don't need my own!
I shot a new set on Christmas Eve, which I think came out really well. I'm busy editing the pics now, and will submit to MR soon, so will let you all know when it's queued. I have new hair in it too, as i'm going blonde for a bit of a change. It is my natural colour anyway, but it should eventually get to white, rather than the slight yello it is now!
That's enough news from me I think, hope you all had a great one, and wish you all a fantastic 2012

autrum:
thanks lady ^.^ I'm feeling a little bit nervous thou but excited! My name is a miss-spelling on purpose of a Latin phrase 'Atrum Regina' which translated means Dark Queen. I spelt it incorrectly by accident until I Google'd the correct spelling for it when I decided to use it as my model name and it turned out there was a dark funeral song with the same name but the lyrics were quite raunchy lol so I kept my spelling of it so I wouldn't associated directly with that song or band. So when i decided to become a hopeful I decided to use only the first half of my modeling name
