Spent all weekend shooting for Pro Elite's broadcast of MMA bouts in Irvine this weekend at the No Limits gym.

Fun! I've never seen fights up close. I was ringside with my cam.

Can't wait to finish processing everything.

woo! already i quit that steady job. i find i'm just not a steady job kind of gal. i much prefer to jump from project to project picking up things along the way.

I've had enough of freelance. For now.

oops. didn't get the job. that's OK because I get the weird feeling (and I promise I'm not being narcissistic -- my boyfriend always tells me I don't give myself enough credit, therapist said the same thing...) that I might've been intimidating. they kept telling me that my stuff was too good and that i'd be unhappy and that i was overqualified. they felt my design sense was too strong, which i find to be bullshit since i can't get full on sr. designer positions anywhere.

but that's ok. it was at a prop house doing archival work and food labels and stuff like that (which i think is awesome). but hey, i applied to SG graphics and we'll see I guess.

it's weird, i spend most of the time that i'm not at my job looking for a new job. it's so mentally... nothing... that i am just antsy to move to something where i'll be thinking and doing and moving. i want to be presented with something i don't know how to do, so i can figure it out. i like figuring shit out.

silly. i ended up paying for another year anyway. i haven't signed on in so long that everything is so unfamiliar!

I had a second job interview today at a prop house which I am VERY excited about because, well, because I am.

I am having trouble looking for a new job because I already have a halfway decent job (but it does nothing for my brain) and because I do a little of everything and I'm not really an expert in any one thing. However, that seems to come in handy at this place, my "little of everything" and my incessant belief that I can find the answers on the internet before paying for tech support or images of a document i need.

i hope i get it. i'm just trying to... move forward. They kept insisting I was overqualified and that my design portfolio is very strong but I really don't think so, I haven't gotten much interest from any of the design jobs I have applied to. This one I like because it's more art dept.

I think I'm gonna go soon. I hardly check this anymore and while I like having my favorite photos and leaving the occasional comment... perhaps I'm not really taking advantage... not using my 48 bucks.

i made pizza tonight after walking 5 miles (to trader joes) for orangina & pizza dough. the pizza went well with quilmes.

and i just watched an amusing movie about two japanese aspiring actresses/roommates that kill each other after fighting over random roommate things like using each other's shampoo and food + a guy they both like + the role they are both auditioning for.

i am full of yeast!

saw jolie holland last night at Largo.

she is MOST lovely. it was a wonderful wonderful show.
