I went home for the weekend to take care of some business and to take a break and see my friends who are already out of school for the summer. I'm stuck here for another month, but it doesn't really feel like I'm missing out on anything. I spent far too much money, played guitar hero, and got drunk for the first time in my life. I'm really not interested in alcohol, but I thought I'd see what all the fuss was about. I did have a lot of fun, but only because I was with my friends.
On a side note I like to run and I've been getting back into it. I found out that my best friend of 15 years has also started running, but is running twice as far as I do.
I'm going to have to see if I can catch up by summer.

I woke up late and missed breakfast this morning, before I could get something to late I had to go to my appointment to donate blood. It took about two hours, just in time for my next class. Between the two areas I was confronted with pro-lifers who had set up giant signs with pictures of fetuses and victims of genocide. I could only point out false analogy and appeal to emotion before I started to feel wozy and hurried to class. On that note I'll get a picture once I get more food and blood in me.
As for past news I finished rastorbating my picture, apparently I did have the floor space to put the whole thing out. The papers come with a small border so I decided to trim the top and right sides and lay each piece on top of each other like shingles. Unfortunately that meant taping the pieces together on the front. Next time I think I'll use a ruler and a razor to cut all of the borders straight and then tape everything together on the back and then put the whole thing on larger sheets before transferring to a wall.

I'm finally going to add a profile pic tomorrow I think. New art project to keep me busy, I've rastorbated a pair of eyes to the size of about 5ft by 4ft. Unfortunately I don't have the floor space to lay the whole thing out to see where all the pieces go, oh well. On a related note my uncle works at the INEEL nuclear research facility in Idaho, his co-worker who is known for pulling pranks did the same sort of thing. Except instead of eyes he used up porn, instead of his home it was at work, and instead of doing it to pass the time he waited for a presentation for Russian officials before flipping the blinds and revealing his prank. The Russians were coming to view American nuclear power plants as part of a Clinton policy to improve relations. I'm not sure how they took it.
He wasn't fired and remained there at least long enough to scare the hell out of security with his weather balloon and flash light UFO. I can't remember if he still works there or not, but spooking security at nuclear plants is usually frowned upon, but perhaps thats the power of an advanced degree.

I went to an engineering expo at my school friday, not much interesting there aside from a wooden segway someone made. It occured to me listing the things I do, things I want to do, and things I like don't necessarily inform anyone to what I am like. To know my life story you'd also have to know what I have and what I'm willing to sacrifice to get it, and if you know where thats from I'll be your best friend forever.
My favorite colors are red and blue. I have a least favorite color, orange.
I usually read non-fiction and am currently reading Thomas Hobbes Leviathan.
I've never been stung by a bee, alcohol has never fascinated me, and I rarely ever dream except after having broken up with my ex-girlfriend.
Tune in next week, same bat time, same bat channel.

Today my professor used Anne Coulter for examples of logical fallacies in argument. It made my day.
I finally got around to baking my sculpey shyguy. I bought a small pack of the stuff to test out for another project and made quickie the bob-omb. I had plenty left over so I made the shyguy as well. I still need to touch up the paint and I don't like how his mask turned out.

I've been studying for a midterm in a required health and nutrition class. If it sounds like a highschool health class its because it is basically a highschool health class. I walked out of the last lecture when the "professor" had a couple students come up to the front and demonstrate the cardiovascular system by having one flex, the other pretend to be lungs, the last to be a beating heart, and herself pretending to be blood. I feels an awful lot like I paid a guy a thousand dollars to kick me in the teeth.
On a happier subject I tried painting for the first time today and quiet frankly its awful. It was of a drawing I had done earlier and part of the problem in retrospect was that is was never suited to be a painting. I think with some modifications I can fix it up a bit and if nothing else I got to practice and experiment a little with brush strokes.
