Jinx versus Positive Affirmation. The two can't coexist so well. I believe in the latter. Attitudes should stay positive. Otherwise, You'll be beaten before you start. Yes, you're more prone to disappointment if you have an attitude like you've already achieved whatever goal, but I think it becomes much more likely than if you're afraid to hope and be let down. This can lead to quitting before even starting. Can't win at all without trying.
