fuck these catering companies. i'm treated like dirt and i need to hound them to pay me. Its back breaking work closing an event and it take serious skill to organize one... free wine is nice but having to make a big fuss just to get paid... it just isn't worth it.

I closing my little mexican wrap shop by myself this week. thats very exciting. AND i have an interview with a magazine for a writer and office assistant tomorrow. wish me luck!

How did the interview go?

I used to be a newspaper reporter and editor.
And I write more some magazines.

I also work for the in house ad agency at a meeting planning and tradeshow company.
So our people are problem some of the ones cracking the whip on your catering people.

Writer is not always the most well paid position.
It takes a long while to work up to the big bucks.

Have you done any writing/reporting for anyone yet?
You may wanna start doing some freelance stuff for some small local papers and Web sites.
