Graduation was wonderful yesterday. I had a great time, especially in being able to lead my class of about 400 in and out of the ceremony playing my pipes with my band. I was so excited I had trouble concentrating on playing - screwed up badly a few times on tunes I know by heart...one of the other pipers had to tell me to slow down I was so pumped up! I don't think anyone cared though. Now it's back to real life and school tomorrow...a chance to use, yet again what I've learned! Rain was forcast, but it held off until after we were nearly finished. I will post pics soon. I want to thank Cadavre, JimCurt, and Ceri for their comments yesterday on my Friday blog...nice of you to think of me on what was an exceptional day! I've got lots of SG portraits to do, paintings, too (and writing to do for Amarena!
)...good thing I will have a little extra time now!!!

And I am quite sure those great legs distracted anyone from any tunes coming out of your pipe!! LOL

Glad you had such a wonderful graduation. Sorry, I have been out of the loop for awhile. A couple weeks ago my computer got bombarded with viruses and trojans after I installed some recommended updates suggested by Windows 7. So I ended up having to reformat the computer, which made it even worse because I lost all my drivers needed for the computer to actually boot up. Since it would not boot, it was impossible to reinstall any form of Windows back on to my computer. My boyfriends father and I even tried to use a recovery image that we made off his laptop since he had Windows 7 as well. However, our efforts failed. As a last resort before actually paying someone to fix my laptop, we decided to put Linux on it instead. Luckily, it worked. So now, I have had my computer back for two days now. I am using a version of Linux called Ubuntu. I was a little frightened to use something other than Windows at first, because everyone I talked to kept saying how difficult and complicated Linux was to operate. However, so far I have had no problems using the operating system. In fact, I like it better than Windows and I do not think I am going back to Windows ever! The only difference I can tell between the two operating systems is that buttons to close a window in the Windows operating system are on the left, while in Linux they are on the right. The only sad thing about all this is, I lost all my personal files, music, and pictures. Oh well, now I have a fresh hard drive with tons of space to fill. Sorry for rambling, but I want you to know that I proud of you for finishing up with school. I hope continuing your education proves to be worth it for you and you are successful in your career! *hugs*
