Man, I have been really bad about keeping up to date. Got to do better.
My favorite weather is here, nice and cool!

Off to Mexico for a week on Friday. It will be nice to get out of town and away from work for a few days.
Oh boy, how much fun are we going to have today?? Get to clean house, do the yard, blah, blah. Oh well, it's rather hot so I guess being inside is not so bad.
Went to the movies yesterday and saw Barnyard. It's pretty good. I always knew cows were party animals.
Sitting here watching Food Network. This guy is stuffing all kinds of veggies in large chunks into a chicken. Just looks wrong somehow.
Looks like no water play for this weekend. We will be out of town for the Labor Day holiday so none for next weekend either. Gas prices being what they are I guess a couple of weeks off is OK.
BTW, does anyone else think Nicole Richie is ugly as hell??

It's a beautiful weekend in north Alabama. Great weather to be outside, if you can stand the heat. The combination of temperature and humidity can make it pretty ugly during the hotter part of the day.
Going to see my parents today and maybe hit the lake for an hour or so.

I did not realize how long it had been since I had updated this blog.
Everything is going pretty well. The weather has been good so we have burned tons of gas at the lake. I figure the quicker I burn it the faster they will come up with an alternative.
Shuttle got home OK, so whohoo. That thing has me paraniod. It's no worse than it has ever been, but the more cameras we put on it the more stuff will be seen. Sometimes ignorance really is bliss.
Now for the bad news, Big Moma (our large float) has a leak. I am going to perform surgery on her so hopefully she will survive. Keep good thoughts for her.

Ye Ha
Today is supposed to be sunny with light wind so guess where we will be.
Work is work. Plenty of things to keep me busy for the next few months. I guess the launch next weekend will determine quite a lot about my immediate future.
I had a chance to go down and see the Shuttle launch but declined. The agency was going to wine and dine me and my wife, tour us around KSC, then take us out to the VIP viewing site to watch the launch. It's part of a motivational awards program they have and I am supposed to be honored to have been chosen. The only hitch was that my son was not allowed to participate because he is under 18. WTF?? You have the nerve to diss my child, suggest that I drop him off somewhere like the family pet while I go and play, then believe that will be some positive motivation for me?? Well, fuck you. Some award. What's next, be chosen as a crash dummy?? I couldn't give a shit less about seeing the Shuttle launch, but my son would have loved it. He would have remembered it for the rest of his life. As it is, I will remember it the next time they need me to break my ass to bail them out of a hole.

Man, did today suck huge donkey balls
Went in to work at 6AM to get a test started. The actual run was to happen 12 hours later after a day of environmental conditioning. Everything went well all day long so we start to set for the test at 6:30 PM. All of a sudden, boom! Weeks and weeks of hard effort to prepare for this event got flushed down the crapper in the flash of an eye due to an electrical glitch. This just ain't been my day.

Two more weeks and the OT should end. It will be good to get back to a normal schedule. The OT has only been for a few weeks so it hasn't been too bad. With the water warming up it is a good time for it to end.
Working 7 days/week right now. Hopefully this will be over in June so I can enjoy the summer on the river. Looking forward to calmer days ahead
What can I say, it's raining a bit and work is work. Probably take the man-child out to the boat this weekend for some fishing. Nothing too exciting today. Just lunch with an old friend.
