A very most merry to all of you in SG land! My morning so far has been full of phone calls and texts of seasons tidings. My friends have become scattered these last 5 years. Nice to have so many reach outs coming in with such a tone of love. I have even considered joing that new fangled Facebook thing a ma jig to keep in closer touch.
My new male friend came over with a gift of seeds for my garden along with interesting pantry items that I normally would not splurge on for myself. He also gave me a vintage hair pin.
I am smiling as I type since he as been so quiet so far in our, courtship? That I am always trying to figure out if he has any of the same feelings I have been starting to feel for him. (Gentlemen, for the sake of the ladies who you have in your life, occasionaly say something to them that hints of what you feel for them. Otherwise it starts to fizzle and feel a bit cool even if you do not mean to ) Off my soapbox.
His gift was so well thought out and knowing he took the time to make each selection really made me glow inside.
Yes, off to a slow start but I am starting to find out more and more things about him that I find truly attractive. He has an edgy but good heart.
I passed out cookies and cool little artistic gifts I found recently. To my male friend I gave a card I made myself that was not to pretty and a beautiful side table that I refinshed myself. He needed one and I could tell he was moved by the effort.

I went out on a date with the man whom is now becoming less of a mystery. It went well I think but he is not much of a talker.
His smile though, shines.
It helped with the drawn out moments of silence. We would pause, then he would look at me and just flash this amazing smile that curled my toes. It is someone I want to know better so it is worth the slight tension I guess.
Our backgrounds are somewhat close so I don't know why it is difficult but I can't wait to try again

I think that too much is said for people who seem perfect for each other right from the start. Sometimes it may take awhile to form a bond, but when you stick around long enough to see it can unfold to something really incredible or at the very least a good friendship that you both respect and can lean upon in the crappy times.

Long week that seemed to stretch into this one. The Holidays sometimes seem more of a hassle than the joy they are supposed to present. I did find some crazy kewl ( yes kewl) handmade gifts at a local artist market. Inexpensive but thoughtful so my list is becoming shorter.
I "sort of" met someone today. It was just one of those eye locking moments that is so rare and hits you in the oh so right spot. He had a smile that meant something when he gave one to me. I feel like a girl 
Another morning. That is good news. Need to get some staples for the pantry today, simple things. Sugar, flour, some canned goods that I probably have already and will duplicate and some cerel with some sweetness. I will have to work a bit today as well. Guess that is a must in order to provide for the simple things I have listed above. Exciting I am.
Why am I awake so early? I feel like I should try and go back to sleep but I know it is now interrupted and will not be satisfying. In my grogged out state I found myself trying to identify a new scent in the room. Took a few minutes and I realized it was the potted fresh herbs my friend Carrie gifted me with yesterday. Warm smile. I love it when friends drop of little things. Let's me know they are thinking about me. She is lovely that one.
My first blurt of nonsense.
Day was decent. I made a humble breakfast of eggs, chorizo and pumpkin bread with unsalted butter. Served proper at room temp as to not tear the surface of the bread. Went for a hike with some friends and appreciated the time together. Some people you connect with. It is effortless. Makes you wonder.
