When he was born, in 1802, WelnTaod had every appearance of being in his mid-nineties. He astonished physicians by growing younger with every year that passed. He died as an infant in 1888, killed in a nursery fire. A recording of his voice reciting Keats' To Autumn was discovered on the telephone answering machine of a taxi company in 1979, but was erased by a temporary secretary who failed to understand its worth.
